SPINNING as an organized activity, is a form of exercise with classes focusing on
endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity (race days) and recovery, that
involve using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in
a classroom setting.
Ultra-endurance
cyclist and athlete Jonathan "Johnny G" Goldberg developed the
concept of indoor cycling classes in the 1980s when, after a near collision
training outdoors at night, he designed and had fabricated a sturdy indoor
cycle utilizing a large mass braked flywheel to simulate actual road
conditions.
We currently have just 5 Spin bikes so we do ask that you sign up for
the class in advance in order to ensure we have a bike for you.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:30pm-2:30pm through March 31st.
